But Wait There’s More, Are You Bearing Fruit or Just Fruity?

But Wait There’s More, Are You Bearing Fruit or Just Fruity?
By: Bobby Sullivan

John 10:10“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Romans 8:32 (AMP) “He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?”

capacity :— the maximum amount that something can contain. the ability or power to do, experience, or understand something.

GOD NEVER CALLED US TO BE BUSY HE CALLED US TO BE FRUITFUL.

TITLE: Are you bearing fruit or are you just fruity?

Luke 8:5-15 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8 But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”  9 Then His disciples asked Him, saying, “What does this parable mean?” 10 And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’ 11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. (15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.)

Note: Something stirs the man/woman of faith who act on the spoken word. IF God gives you a word, you can bank on it, live from it, breath from it and walk on it. Come out of the Boat, “cast your net on the other side”
When God speaks to you that word is already empowered to prosper and bring into manifestation that to which he sent it.
The Word can bring conflict at which time you will be tested. Ask anyone who told a friend or family that God called them into ministry.

We need a revelation of what God has already blessed us with. Count your blessings before your burdens.

John 15:2 “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away (LIFTS UP); and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE.

THE PASSION TRANSLATION 2 He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning[b] every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed[c] you. So you must remain in life-union with me,[d] for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches.[e] As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with me and if my words[f] live powerfully[g] within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!  TPT

John 15:7-8 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (Produce abundant fruit)

Its not the prerequisite of but the response of a life rooted and grounded in the word.

Bearing fruit is what gives great glory to the Father. Can I stretch this out and have a little liberty? A new born baby gives great glory to the mother.

BIG QUESTION: “What areas in my life am I fruitful?”

There’s is a big difference in someone who is a Jesus Fan and a Jesus Follower?   God is not concerned about the apple on the tree as much as he is the pear (pair) on the ground. (Adam and Eve)
Some people think Jesus is a good example while others think he is “the” example. Some think Jesus is “a” way while others know he is “the” way

FANS LIKE FRUIT  FOLLOWERS BEAR FRUIT

People get to see the fruit of Jesus in our lives because we bear it. We carry it, We display it.

John 13:35 “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

“Fruit that falls on the ground is not forgotten”

Another reason we bear fruit is so people can eat the fruit! People should be able to taste and see that the Lord is good.

Galatians 5:22-23 Fruits of the Spirit
JOHN 15:1-2 NO FRUIT FOLLOWERS, SOME FRUIT FOLLOWERS, MORE FRUIT FOLLOWERS, MUCH FRUIT FOLLOWER which means you are fruit-full. Don’t be FRUIT-LESS!!

How do you go from No fruit to some fruit?   DESIRE!

Philippians 2:13 “ God is working in you giving you the desire and power to do what pleases him.”

You go from Some fruit to more fruit by pruning. Some of you think the things your walking through is a punishment but NO it’s a pruning. Please understand God is not punishing you, just pruning you to empower you.

The best tasting wine comes from grapes that endured adverse weather conditions. Its like a docking station for a space craft.

FRUIT IS ALL ABOUT THE ROOT

You must stay connected to the root if you want the fruit

Luke 8:5-15   “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”

The Word of God is full of power to accomplish that for which it was sent!

Luke 1:37-38“‘For with God nothing (no rhema) will be impossible.’ Then Mary said ‘Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.’”

As you embrace The word of God it is self manifesting. (you don’t need to add water! LOL)

Ephesians 3:17  “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”

++++++++++++ Tree with root system … go down and drink

Romans 10:8-10“The word is near you ,in your mouth and in your heart…For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is not how you get saved. Its how you live! My confession makes my salvation a kingdom reality.

Meditate Get the word in your heart. Activate   Get word in your mouth. Last week when I taught about capacity, God was trying to expand Peters heart to live a life beyond faith. He wanted Peter to witness the more of God.

God wants out! Its with your mouth that you declare the goodness of God invading your heart.
You have created a world by the power of your tongue. Your confession can captivate the carnal, release the captive, and _________the Christian. God wants you to step into a realm of the supernatural where you can recreate his purposes by repeating them with your mouth thus transforming a city, a nation and a generation!

Mark 4:24“And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.”

Proverbs 4:20-27“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Issues:– (to-tsaw-aw’ ) boundaries, limit, border, extremity.
Your heart condition establishes the boundary of your experience in life. Every issue in life stems from the condition of our heart.

Mark 11:23“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Mountains are those obstacles or people standing in the way between you and the promises of God. Those mountains become molehills that need to be introduced to the vastness of Gods love.

Mathew 12:34-35“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”

1 Kings 3:9 Solomon says,“ Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart …”

Shawmah:– to hear, listen, to obey.  Leb:– innermost part, heart.

The only way Soloman could do what he was called to was by having a heart after God.

I desire You to be the source of all my life — hearing heart

1 Kings 4:29“And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.”

NOTE: As the sand on the sea-shore encloses a great body of waters, so Solomon’s mind contained an ocean of knowledge.” the image indicates not only the vast but also the varied range of Solomon’s wisdom; not only the quantity but also the quality of the largeness of his heart. Nothing, at first sight, looks more uniform and monotonous than a heap of sand. It seems barren and uninteresting to the last degree; and yet examine carefully a small portion of the sand, and you will be struck with the immense variety which it contains. No two particles are the same in Size, shape, colour, or mineral character. No two grains have perhaps the same origin or the same history. A handful of sand is, in fact, a geological museum, composed of the remains of different rocks worn off or ground down by different agencies and at different periods.

Proverbs 20:9    “Who can say, ‘I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin’”?

Psalm 51:10 (NIV)    “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

Psalm 51:10 (Message)  “God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life Don’t throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me.”

Ezekiel 36:26-27“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”A pure heart comes only by faith … it is the gift of God

Acts 15:8-9“So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.”

Luke 8:5-15    “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.”

  1. Listen To His Voice (WORD)   2. Hide It Deep In Your Heart    3. Keep Drinking

Patience:– “The capacity to put up with adversity without complaint. The ability to wait or persevere without losing heart or becoming bored.” (Websters)

Patience:– “…not simply the ability to bear circumstances…it is the ability to turn them to greatness and glory.” Wm. Barclay

Hebrews 6:11-12,15  “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises … And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.”
Patience doesn’t mean passivity or resignation, but power.
“Patience is not the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” Joyce Meyer

Nasa “Columbia your attitude is perfect.”

Dr. Carol Dweck“Your attitude is a better predictor of your success than your IQ.”

Dr. Caroline Leaf“People pick up on our attitudes – the intent of the thought – not the detail of the thought.”

LEAF  “What you are thinking every moment of every day becomes a physical reality in your brain and body, which affects your optimal mental and physical health. These thoughts collectively form your attitude, which is your state of mind, and it’s your attitude and not your DNA that determines much of the quality of your life.”

Ephesians 3:17  “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
