See Yourself Here Series 6, Open Heaven

John 1:47-51
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”48 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” YOU-WILL-SEE MORE

I want you to see yourself as a dispenser of the glory of God everyday with heavenly favor every moment of your life.

We are going to pray for every living, breathing, walking human being that desires to shake up this city. We are not playing around. We have made up our mind! Our mission, our mandate, with a manifesto in hand!!

TITLE: GOING UP? 

Nathanael was a student of the word. He knew exactly what Jesus was referring to:

John 1:45 “Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 

Genesis 28:10-19 “Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the LORD stood above it…” 

“…Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!” 

 Many of you right now have unemployed angels sitting at the throne room of heaven ready for an assignment. Ready to be activated!  Are they for real or are they only a baseball team?

Jesus wanted to peal back the curtains of heaven and show him what’s really going on! If we are citizens of heaven then we should have access to that realm. Favor still follows the faithful not the forgetful. Forget not! The benefits of the Lord. 

Where 2-3 are gathered together in my midst…. he is right there. In His presence…. nothing is impossible. The corporate anointing makes the kingdom of God possible. 

That is one of the reasons Jesus told Nathaniel “You will see greater things than these! You will see an open heaven, you will live in an open heaven and you will have access to an open heaven. What is an open heaven? It is one that is not closed!!!

Jesus manifest open heaven.

Water into wine.   Feeding five thousand.   Calmed the storm.    Raised the dead.

Matthew 12:15 “…great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.”  

You radiate the realms of revival and restoration. It is unnatural for you to live an explainable life. That’s why I say , live your life in such a way that it demands an explanation.

Apostles Manifest Open Heaven:

Acts 5:12, 15 “And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people…  so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.”  

We need a R.I.O.T in Bridgewater! A righteous Invasion of Truth 

Nathaniel / Bartholomew “Batholomew preached with such success that the heathen God’s were rendered powerless … his voice was like a trumpet; angels waited upon him; he was always cheerful, and he new all languages.”  (William Barcley — The Master’s Men) 

Cessationism is the view that the “miracle gifts” of tongues and healing have ceased—that the end of the apostolic age brought about a cessation of the miracles associated with that age. Most cessationists believe that, while God can and still does perform miracles today, the Holy Spirit no longer uses individuals to perform miraculous signs.

There are churches that actually embrace this teaching. Where they may excel in other areas they proudly promote this. It’s a manmade filtered doctrine to justify the lack of results. In the end, it doesn’t mean they are not believers, they just miss out on the fun stuff. ALL I KNOW IS I WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE!!

The Westminster Confession Of The Faith — Section 1 (Of The Holy Scriptures) “… those former ways of God’s revealing His will unto His people being now ceased.”

This teaching says God does not function outside the box. They have literally imprisoned and handcuffed the Holy Spirit. How many of you know despite what man says, The Holy Spirit is the greatest escape artist ever known. He will not be boxed up, tied up, tangled up.

We believe that you can get direction revelation and inspiration from the Holy Spirit both on a personal level, prophetic level and public level. God speaks to everyone not just the ministerial.  

The year 367 was chosen as the terminal date for spiritual gifts because that year the canon of Scripture was declared to be complete. The argument is based on this verse: “But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” I Corinthians 13:8-10. The assumption is made that the expression “that which is perfect” refers to the completed Bible. 

You get fed this rubbish when you go to cemetery. IE Seminary. Its where your spirit dies and sometimes fed lies quite often from people who have never functioned in the gifts of the spirit because they never had the faith to open the gift.

The Canon was created by a bunch of guys that promoted the bible has the ultimate authority rather than Jesus being the ultimate authority. Although it can appear to overlap, we agree the Bible is the inspired word of God, they put more emphasis on the created rather than the creator. 

Continuationism is the belief that all the spiritual gifts, including healings, tongues, and miracles, are still in operation today, just as they were in the days of the early church. A continuationist believes that the spiritual gifts have “continued” …

…unabated since the Day of Pentecost and that the demonstration of “signs, wonders, and miracles”, as witnessed in the apostolic era, should be a hallmark of today’s church as well. 

In case your wondering, this is the official stand of Impact Church and the Apostolic Church of Canada of which we are a part of and of which Sheryl and I hold our ordination credentials. Hallmark is the seal of authenticity

The church (you) is the vehicle where the Holy Spirit reveals the supernatural to the natural. It is where the unseen(invisible) comes in the seen (visable) so when you jump on the scene something supernatural is seen!

When you have a church not operating without authorization, without the hallmark, they are handicapped. THERES SO MUCH MORE!!  Its like putting a rowboat engine on a cruise liner. It will eventually get there, but the Holy Spirit is like a nuclear power plant!! 

Hebrews 10:20 (TPT)  “For he has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to him!”

How do you have access to the Father? Charasmatic gymnastics? NO! You have access by what Jesus did on the cross. You try any other way your trying to get over a wall and not through a door. You are always need to Him, close to him, right by him. You don’t have to work your way to him because HEB 13:5 says, “ I will never leave you or forsake you.”  YOU HAVE NEVER LIVED AN UNLOVED MOMENT!

Acts 9:17-18  Ananias “And laying his hands on him he said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’ And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained  his sight.”

If Ananias didn’t obey Paul would not have had an encounter. Ananias wasn’t an apostle and God flowed through him

Angelic Assistance Matthew 26:53    “Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?”  6000 in a legion = 72,000 angels

We don’t worship angels we put them to work not on welfare!

Hebrews 1:14 (The Message) “Isn’t it obvious that all angels are sent to help out with those lined up to receive salvation?”

My Story: I know I have 5! And to be honest they may be a bit out of shape. Harvest, Multiplication, Division, Fire,  

Exodus 23:20-21 “See, I a sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and bring you to the place that I have prepared for you. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my name is in him.”

 GOD CAN SEND THINGS INTO YOUR LIFE THAT YOU DONT ACCESS BECAUSE YOUR ATTENTION IS SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Vs 22 If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.23 My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Ammorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites and I will wipe them all out. 

28-30..little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.   Persistent Patience must take precedence 

YOUR WAITING ON GOD TO SHOW UP and HE IS WAITING ON YOU TO GROW UP 

Vs 31. “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out before you.”

God is giving his people the resources in the heavenly realm they need to handle the responsibilities they are about to encounter.  He always has the resource ready before he gives the assignment.

THE GREATER THE ASSIGNMENT THE GREATER THE ASSISTANCE.

God has already brought them out of 400 years of Egyptian slavery and he is saying, I’m ready when you are. You haven’t seen nothing yet! There is a huge difference in coming out of slavery physically then coming out mentally. I often wonder how many in our churches are still bound mentally to the past while proclaiming the promises in the present?

He gives them the 10 commandments not to imprison them but to free them! WHAT? He didn’t do it to prohibit them. When God establishes parameters, he is giving you permission to enjoy his promises within the parameters of his principles so your not destroyed by the things he wants to bless you with. 

Psalm 103:20-21 “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.”

Door Of Your Mouth

Mark 11:23 “…does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Acts 3:6 “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”

Heaven is voice activated! When you open your mouth it unlocks the portals of Heavenly glory to be released and manifested on earth.

Ephesians 4:29, NIV: “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Someone said one time, “Christians seem to be the only ones that shoot their own wounded.” Let us make it a point to lift each other up, encourage one another, and believe in one another and not when it only benefits you.

Believe it or not, what is said in private will soon be made public either by choice or by mistake. Listen to this, every word that comes from your mouth has an address assigned to it!

Listen, your only as good as your last conversation! So choose your words carefully. “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”  Colossians 4:6

Listen, words are like messengers that take flight from your mouth. Out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks.

Every place you go the Kingdom is in full force! You change the atmosphere by who is inside you.
